Anritsu Corporation has launched its 100G-Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) application software MX180014A and signal quality analyser, MP1800A.The new products support bit error rate (BER) measurements of optical line terminal (OLT) and optical network unit for the 100G-EPON standard.
It is a plug-in modular BER tester for measuring a wide range of multichannel interfaces of up to 32 Gbps. According to the company, its signal source multichannel synchronisation and skew adjustment functions are optimum for OLT tests requiring high-accuracy timing setting. It also enables high-reproducibility BER measurement through its high-quality output waveforms and high input sensitivity performance. Further, the MX180014A software controls the MP1800A analyser to generate 2ch test-signal burst patterns. Moreover, OLT evaluation input sensitivity and timing tests are made easy by the graphic user interface of the device for setting test-signal pattern length and timing.
