Alcatel-Lucent is in the process of renewing its existing managed services contract with mobile communications operator Orange Austria. The renewed three-year contract is likely to be extendable by five years and will come into effect from January 1, 2011.
Under the contract, Orange Austria’s entire multi-vendor mobile network will be managed, operated and maintained by AlcatelLucent, thereby enabling the operator to focus on its core competencies while also helping it to reduce operating costs.
