Alcatel-Lucent has been selected by MTS Ukraine to provide an IP/multi-protocol label switching-based mobile backhaul solution.
The operator is planning to integrate end-to-end management across multiple technology domains, thereby simplifying operations and lowering operating expenses while offering its end-users advanced IP-based services. The move towards IP will also support the introduction of W-CDMA/high speed packet access and 4G LTE technologies.
