Bharti Airtel has been awarded a multi-year contract by the central board of direct taxes (CBDT) to serve as the network and connectivity partner for the Taxnet-2.0 program.
The formal letter of award was presented to Bharti Airtel by central board of direct taxes (CBDT) and the letter of acceptance has been issued by Bharti Airtel to CBDT.
Under this contract, Airtel will provide robust dual connectivity using software defined network for wide area network (WAN) and secure local area network (LAN), among other technology solutions, to modernise the system for collecting, processing, monitoring, and accounting of direct taxes.
This partnership extends Airtel’s role, which began in 2008 with Taxnet-1.0, into the next phase of CBDT’s technological advancement.
