Airtel faces Rs 106.5 million penalty under GST for 2017-18 tax liability

Bharti Airtel has been issued an order under the Central Goods and Services Tax act, 2017, by the office of the commissioner of central goods and services tax, Delhi South Commissionerate.

This order, issued under section 74 of the act, imposes a penalty of Rs 106.5 million due to alleged insufficient payment of tax liabilities for the financial year 2017-18.

The company intends to challenge this order.
