Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications (RCOM) will provide free data to Android One users for application downloads and operating system (OS) updates on a monthly basis as per a contract with Google. The Android One customers on the two operators will be able to update OS without incurring any additional data charges.
As per the bundled offer with Google, Airtel customers will get 100 MB of data per month for six months for software updates and 200 MB per month for six months for app downloads and updates on the first prepaid Airtel SIM inserted in the Android One device.
