Ai+ Smartphone and Optiemus Electronics (OEL), a unit of Optiemus Infracom, has announced a partnership under which both companies will together invest Rs 1.25 billion in manufacturing over the next five years, creating around 1,200 jobs.
Under the agreement, OEL will manufacture 3 million Ai+ Smartphone units. The manufacturing scope will gradually be expanded to cover tablets, internet of things (IoT) products, and wearable devices.
As per OEL, the production will take place at its facility in Noida, with a ramp-up targeted from April 2026.
