Adarsh Nair resigns as CPO, Bharti Airtel

Adarsh Nair, chief product officer (CPO), Bharti Airtel, has resigned from the company after a five-year tenure. According to a regulatory filing, Nair will be relieved of his duties upon the closure of business hours on February 15, 2024.

Meanwhile, Airtel has announced the restructuring of the leadership team in its enterprise arm. Airtel Business will operate in three business and channel segments: the global business led by Vani Venkatesh, the domestic business led by Ganesh Lakshminarayanan and Nxtra Data Centers led by Ashish Arora.

IESA appoints Ashok Chandak as president

The India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) has appointed Ashok Chandak as its new president. In this role, Chandak will steer the organisation towards in­novation and growth. He will also be responsible for formulating strategic initiatives and advocating for policies that promote the interests of the semiconductor and electronics system design and manufacturing industry, as part of the Make in India initiative. With three decades of experience in semiconductors and electronics, Chandak has worked across various companies.

Appa Rao V.V. resigns as CDO of HCLTech

Appa Rao V.V., chief delivery officer (CDO) for nearshore and New Vistas locations at HCL Technologies Limited (HCLTech), has resigned from his position. Rao served as the company’s chief human resources officer before assuming the CDO role in October 2022.

Microsoft appoints Aparna Gupta as leader of global delivery centre

Microsoft has appointed Aparna Gupta as the leader of its global delivery centre. Gupta joined Microsoft six years ago as the lead for the company’s commercial software engineering group. According to Microsoft, she has significantly contri­buted to the company’s business, overseeing the establishment of its customer success unit.

In her new role, Gupta will spearhead customer innovation and delivery excellence. The global delivery centre arm was established in 2005 in Hyderabad. It focuses on delivery of industry solutions to Microsoft’s partners.

Samsung India appoints Shirish Agarwal as director of marketing

Samsung India has appointed Shirish Agarwal as director of marketing. This is his second stint with the company, having previously worked as deputy general manager, marketing, for 10 years. Prior to his current role, he was head, marketing, communication and brand, at Panasonic India. Agarwal started his career at Cyber Media and has worked at companies such as Times Internet and HP.

Lava appoints Sunil Raina as interim MD

Lava International Limited has appointed Sunil Raina as interim managing director (MD) with immediate effect. Raina has worked at companies such as Tata Teleservices Limited, Airtel, Reliance Communications and Uninor. Over the past five years at Lave, he has held key positions such as president and business head.

Realme appoints Sudhanshu Raj as COO for its India operations

Realme has appointed Sudhanshu Raj as new chief operating officer (COO) for its India operations with immediate effect. In his new role, he will report to Sky Li, chief executive officer and founder, Realme; and will be responsible for driving the market growth strategy and “Leap-forward Climbing Plan” in India.

Raj has experience across diverse sectors, including sales, corporate alliances, retail and distribution, acquired through his tenures at various Indian and international brands. Previ­ous­ly, he held the position of head of strategy development and operations at ESWOP Technology Private Limited. Ad­di­tionally, he has worked at Lexin India Technology Private Limited, Dizo, Oppo Mobiles and Daikin Air Conditioners.

STL appoints David De Craemer as business head and Tomasz Bednarczyk as global R&D head for optical connectivity business

STL has announced the appointments of two industry leaders as it positions itself to meet the growing demand for optical connectivity products. The company has hired two people in key leadership roles – David De Craemer as business head and Tomasz Bednarczyk as global research and development (R&D) head for the optical connectivity business.

Craemer brings over 25 years of industry experience, having worked with companies such as TE Connectivity Limited and CommScope. Tomasz Bednarczyk has worked for 18 years at Corning across various R&D, finance and product lifecycle ma­nagement domains. STL believes these new additions will fu­­rther strengthen the leadership team, alongside Binod Bala­chandran, Sam Leeman and Ryan Chappell, positioning the company as one of the top three global optical players.
