P Balaji has resigned from the position of head of Nokia India, now called Microsoft devices Group, though he will continue as an advisor to the company till October 2014. The resignation has come within a month of the acquisition of Nokia India by Microsoft.

Balaji was appointed as the managing director and vice-president of the company in July 2012. He had been shifted to Microsoft devices Group after the devices and services business of Nokia was acquired by Microsoft on April 25, 2014.

Earlier, he served as the managing director of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communication India.
