Ericsson has appointed Börje Ekholm as president and CEO of the company. His appointment will be effective January 16, 2017. Prior to this, Ekholm was serving as CEO of Patricia Industries. In the past, he has held senior positions in Investor Growth Capital, Novare Kapital AB and McKinsey. Ekholm is a member of the board of directors of Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson, Alibaba, the NASDAQ OMX Group and Trimble Navigation Limited.
