Globalstar, which powers Apple’s emergency communications services, has appointed Paul Jacobs as its chief executive officer (CEO). Jacob will succeed David Kagan as the company’s new leader, effective immediately. David had been leading the company since 2017.
Jacobs led Qualcomm as its CEO from 2005 to 2014. He holds a track record for driving innovation led growth, including growing company’s revenue from $5.7 billion to $25.7 billion, adding approximately $50 billion to its market capitalisation while serving as the CEO. In his new role, he will drive the company’s on-going strategic initiatives in order to develop and deploy innovative solutions across terrestrial and satellite for customers around the world.
