Pi Ventures, an early-stage venture fund focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning and internet of things, has appointed Abishek Surendran as a full-time partner. He will be involved in strategy, deal flow and mentoring of Pi’s portfolio companies. Surendran joins Pi from Exfinity Venture Partners, where he was leading artificial intelligence investments. Prior to Exfinity, Surendran led angel investments at Unilazer Ventures, the private equity arm of the family office of Indian media veteran Ronnie Screwvala, where he managed a portfolio of eight companies.
