The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) has elected Gopal Vittal, managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO), India and South Asia, Bharti Airtel, as its new chairman. He succeeds Himanshu Kapania, MD, Idea Cellular. Meanwhile, Sunil Sood, MD and CEO, Vodafone India, has been elected as the new vice chairman of COAI.
