Vodafone Group’s chief executive officer (CEO) Nick Read has decided to step down from his position by end December 2022.
According to the company, the current chief financial officer, Margherita Della Valle will take over as the group chief executive in the interim.
Read’s stint at Vodafone spanned for over four years.
Nick had been leading Vodafone Group through the pandemic while selling its assets to focus on its business in Europe and Africa. He also converted the company’s telecom business into a separate unit.
