IBM has appointed Karan Bajwa as MD of IBM India. He succeeds Vanitha Narayanan, who has been appointed chairman. In his new role, Bajwa will be responsible for all strategic and operational matters related to IBM’s sales, marketing, services and delivery operations in the India/South Asia region, including Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Bajwa joined IBM in 2016 as an executive for strategy and transformation in the Asia-Pacific region. He was earlier MD, Microsoft India, and also headed the company’s networking business in Singapore.
