The Union Cabinet has approved the draft Digital Personal Data Protection Bill. The bill will be presented in the upcoming monsoon session of parliament starting July 20, 2023.
As per industry sources, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) received and considered 21,666 suggestions to the draft bill that had been circulated for comments in November 2022.
