Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL) has recently reintroduced its free Wi-Fi facility across Bhubaneswar, Odisha. After being temporarily discontinued during Covid-19, the service has now expanded to cover 500 locations, allowing residents and visitors to enjoy seamless connectivity throughout the city.

BSCL has upgraded its features, now allowing users to experience high-speed connection of up to 30 Mbps and enjoy a daily download limit of 500 MB at no cost. The plan was to gradually extend the facility to over 500 locations in three phases, which were hindered due to the challenges posed by the pandemic in 2020. Several areas like Saheed Nagar, Vani Vihar, Acharya Vihar, Nayapalli, Sailashree Vihar, Niladri Vihar, and Chandrasekharpur, now enjoy this facility. However, IT experts have urged caution while using public networks as they can be susceptible to hacking attempts.
