Reliance Jio has covered all 14 district headquarters, 35 major cities, and over 100 small towns across Kerala, with its True 5G service. These cities include Payyanur, Tirur, Kayamkulam, Vadakara, Neyyattinkaram, Perumbavoor, Kunnamkulam, Irinjalkuda, Koyilandy, Kottarakkara, Ponnani, Punalur, Chittur-Thathamangalam, Nedumangad, Kanhangad, Thiruvalla, Thalassery, Kottungalloor, Attingal, Muvattupuzha, Chengannur, Alappuzha, Palakkad, Kottayam, Cherthala, Malappuram, Kannur, Thrissur, Guruvayur, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi.
Jio secured a substantial 5G spectrum in 3500 MHz and premium 700 MHz bands, ensuring seamless connectivity and leveraging carrier aggregation technology for improved indoor and outdoor experiences. Customers will be able to use unlimited data at speeds over 1Gbps under the Jio Welcome Offer, available with eligible plans at no extra cost. This milestone took six months, since the initial launch of 5G in Kerala in December 2022.
The company is aiming to bring True 5G services to various sectors like tourism, manufacturing, small and medium-scale enterprises, e-governance, education, healthcare, agriculture, automation, artificial intelligence, gaming and IT.
