Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio) has refused to accept government’s four-year moratorium on spectrum and adjusted gross revenue (AGR) payments. With this, Jio has become the only telco to not accept the moratorium. Jio’s refusal comes at a time when both its competitors, Vi and Airtel, have accepted both forms of moratorium.

Recently, the company paid Rs. 107.92 billion to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), clearing all the dues towards spectrum brought in 2016 auctions.

However, the company has not yet cleared all the dues of spectrum brought in 2014 and 2015 auctions, which is about Rs 150-RS 160 billion, including interests.
