According to a regulatory filing, Bharti Airtel’s Rs 210 billion rights issue will open on October 5, 2021. In the filing, Bharti Airtel stated that its special committee of directors for the rights issue has approved October 5, 2021 as the issue opening date and October 21, 2021 as the closing date.
The committee also approved September 28, 2021 as record date for determining eligible shareholders.
Recently, the company’s board had approved raising up to Rs 210 billion by way of rights issue, at a price of Rs 535 per share, including premium of Rs 230.
The rights entitlement ratio entails one equity share for every 14 shares held by eligible shareholders as on the record date.
