Avantel secures Rs 838 million purchase order from Zetwerk for supply of satellite communication equipment

Avantel Limited has secured a purchase order worth Rs 838 million (inclusive of applicable taxes) from Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses Limited for the supply of satellite communication equipment. The order is to be executed by March 2027.

This purchase order has been awarded under the rate contract announced earlier between Avantel and Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses Limited.

The project pertains to the real-time train information system (RTIS) for the end customer CRIS (Indian Railways). RTIS improves the efficiency of train running operations. RTIS system envisages automatic capturing of train movement data of all passenger/goods trains and feeding it to control office application.
