Wipro has secured an eight-year transformation deal with Singapore-based food and agri-business major Olam Group, expected to exceed $1 billion (approximately Rs 93.14 billion) in contract value. The proposed transaction is in line with Olam Group’s updated 2025 re-organisation plan to divest and monetise its remaining assets and businesses over time, with proceeds to be progressively distributed to shareholders through special dividends.
As part of the engagement, Wipro will deliver end-to-end transformation services to Olam Group through a consulting-led and artificial intelligence (AI)-powered approach, drawing on its industry expertise, partnerships with leading technology providers, and Wipro Intelligence, its unified suite of AI-powered platforms and solutions.
As part of the broader engagement, Wipro will also acquire Olam Group’s IT and digital services business, Mindsprint Pte. Limited, for $375 million (approximately Rs 34.94 billion). The all-cash acquisition of 100 per cent shareholding in Mindsprint is expected to be completed by June 30, 2026, subject to customary closing adjustments and regulatory approvals, including anti-trust clearances in Saudi Arabia and Australia.
