The Data Security Council of India (DSCI), in collaboration with Siemens, has inaugurated an operational technology (OT) cybersecurity lab at the NASSCOM campus in Noida. The lab is designed to strengthen India’s critical infrastructure resilience and provide an innovation platform for start-ups by offering access to technology, equipment, and expertise to develop and test cybersecurity solutions in real-world conditions.

According to a joint statement, the OT cybersecurity lab will enable industry players and start-ups to validate and test solutions and use cases in a secure and controlled environment. It will also act as a hub for training, awareness, and skill development by giving professionals from critical sectors hands-on exposure to OT cybersecurity practices.

Equipped with a testbed, the lab will facilitate research on OT security vulnerabilities, threat detection methods, and risk management strategies. It will also support advanced testing, including defense-in-depth approaches for OT environments.
