CtrlS Datacenters Limited inaugurated its new greenfield data centre at Bengal Silicon Valley in Kolkata, starting with an IT load capacity of 16 megawatt (MW), on August 13, 2025.

The data centre operator noted in its statement that the facility is part of a larger Rs 220 billion investment aimed at creating eastern India’s most advanced data centre ecosystem and the Kolkata unit has the potential to scale up to 60 MW in four phases to cater to rising demand from enterprises, government bodies, and hyperscale players.

Built in line with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) platinum standards, the facility features a power usage effectiveness (PUE) of 1.40 and offers carrier-neutral access with four fibre entry points and connections to multiple internet exchanges.
