The special court hearing the 2G case has asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to respond to allegations that the agency tampered with evidence in the case.

The court issued these orders after all the individuals indicted in the 2G case had asked the court to intervene and stop the agency from calling witnesses unofficially and tampering with evidence.

Lawyers representing Vinod Goenka, director, Swan Telecom, had asked the court to take up the matter with the probe agency?s director.

In response, special CBI judge O.P. Saini issued a notice to the CBI asking to it to respond by November 23, 2011.
