According to the Union Minister of Communications, Starlink has been granted a license to launch satellite services in India, with a framework for spectrum allocation to facilitate a seamless rollout.
The announcement comes as the country marks the 30th anniversary of its first cellular call made in 1995.
Alongside Starlink, Bharti Group-backed Eutelsat OneWeb and Jio SES are also awaiting spectrum allocation to commence their satellite communication services.
