Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has announced the launch of its 5G services in Jaipur. This expansion is part of Vi’s planned 5G rollout across 23 cities, covering its 17 priority circles where it has acquired 5G spectrum.

Earlier, Vi introduced 5G services in major cities including Mumbai, Delhi‑NCR, Bangalore, Mysuru, Chandigarh, Patna and Nagpur, as it continues to expand its 5G services to more customers across India.

To ensure a superior 5G experience in Jaipur, Vi has partnered with Ericsson to deploy advanced, energy‑efficient infrastructure and implemented artificial intelligence (AI) powered self‑organising networks (SON) to automatically optimise network performance.

Commenting on the launch, operations director, Vi, said, “As we launch Vi 5G in Jaipur, we are excited to bring the future of connectivity to the Pink city. With our next-gen 5G and robust 4G network, we aim to provide more options and an enhanced experience to our users. We are committed to expanding our 5G footprint across the circle, in line with growing demand and 5G handset adoption.”

Additionally, since raising funds via a follow‑on public offer (FPO) last year, Vi has also significantly upgraded its 4G network in Rajasthan to deliver enhanced coverage, faster data speeds and overall superior user experience. It has deployed 900 MHz spectrum on more than 2,700 sites to strengthen indoor coverage, enhanced 2100 MHz spectrum capacity across 2,000+ sites and added 2100 MHz spectrum to more than 2,500 sites.
