Ravi Karthik,Chief Marketing Officer, ACT Fibernet

With over two decades of experience spanning global consumer brands and high-growth digital ventures, Ravi Karthik brings a unique blend of strategic insight and executional depth to his role as chief marketing officer at ACT Fibernet. At the helm of ACT’s marketing, product and customer experience functions, he has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth.

Karthik’s journey began with Procter and Gamble, where he developed a strong foundation in brand building and consumer insights across India and Singapore. He later played a key role at Flipkart by leading marketing for Home and Furniture and scaling the Small Appliances business.

Since joining ACT in 2016, he has been central to its evolution – helping the company grow its revenue fourfold, triple its subscriber base and expand across over 30 Indian cities. Under his guidance, ACT has launched innovative products like ACT Smart WiFi, India’s first artificial intelligence (AI)-powered home WiFi experience, reinforcing the company’s commitment to intelligent, user-centric solutions. He fondly recalls working with ACT’s former chief executive officer, Bala Malladi, among his most memorable assignments.

Karthik sees customer experience as the true differentiator. “The game will no longer be defined by how fast we connect, but by how well we perform once connected,” Karthik says. He also opines that in a hyper-competitive industry, where technological shifts are transforming the entire value chain , agility is paramount.

Trends like AI-powered network optimisation, self-healing systems and widespread adoption of WiFi 6/6E are shaping ACT’s roadmap under his guidance. He opines, “We are seeing significant advancements in last-mile connectivity through 5G, emerging 6G networks, low Earth orbit satellite systems and expanded fibre broadband infrastructure. These technologies are converging to power everything from smart cities and immersive content to next-generation commerce.”

Karthik’s leadership style is collaborative and empowering. He emphasises clarity, trust and shared ownership to drive results, nurturing a high-performing team. He reaffirms, “If you take care of people, the business will take care of itself.”

An alumnus of IIM Bangalore, with executive education from Harvard and Stanford, he combines business acumen with a deep focus on innovation and impact. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, mentoring start-ups, working out and spending time with his family, especially his nine-year-old son – discovering, exploring and staying curious together.
