According to the Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC), India’s indigenous telecom firms are well-positioned to provide affordable and secure 4G and 5G network solutions, especially to emerging markets that are in the process of expanding and modernising their telecommunications infrastructure.
TEPC highlighted that Indian companies now possess a complete end-to-end telecom stack, encompassing both wireless and wireline network components. Moreover, while the global 5G equipment market continues to be dominated by a few major players, India is actively pushing its domestic telecom manufacturing capabilities.
Further, as per TEPC, amid increasing geopolitical tensions affecting global supply chains, including in the telecom sector, India is emerging as a reliable and secure partner for countries seeking alternatives for critical connectivity infrastructure.
