HCLTech has finalised the acquisition of specific assets from the Communications Technology Group, a division of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). This follows HCLTech’s earlier announcement in May regarding the acquisition, valued at $ 225 million in cash.
Under the terms of the agreement, HCLTech will integrate approximately 1,500 engineering specialists and 700 contractors to support the methodologies and nearshore delivery needs of communication service providers (CSPs) across various countries, including Spain, Italy, Romania, Japan, China, India, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific region.
Additionally, HCLTech has acquired a range of service offerings that encompass industry-leading intellectual property (IP) solutions, and systems integration across business support systems (BSS), network applications, service cloudification, and data intelligence. The Telco Solutions group within HPE Aruba Networking will continue to serve HPE’s telco customers and partners.
