Satcom Industry Association-India (SIA-India) and IndUS Tech Council have partnered to address regulatory challenges in emerging technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), space systems, and dual use innovations. The SIA-India and IndUS Tech Council have launched the Perspectives on Regulatory Issues in Strategic Markets (PRISM) 2024 webinar series, aiming to provide a platform for industry to navigate evolving regulations and explore new opportunities for innovation and collaboration.
As per IndUS Tech Council, the US Department of Commerce’s recent amendments to the Commerce Control List, which reclassifies space-related products, open up new opportunities for US-India cooperation in space.
Further, SIA-India stated that US hi-tech exports to India are improving, with less than 0.5 per cent of US exports to India requiring an Export Administration Regulations (EAR) license.
