Colt DCS is in talks with RMZ Corp to establish a joint platform to invest over $1 billion in developing data centres across India’s key cities.

The joint platform is expected to set up data centres in Mumbai and Chennai. Colt is already planning to set up a large hyperscale data centre on a 15-acre land parcel in Navi Mumbai’s Airoli locality, with a total capacity of 125-130 MW. The new 100 MW data centre will be adjacent to its existing operational data centre with nearly 25 MW capacity in Airoli.

Meanwhile, Colt is also planning to set up a 100 MW data centre in Chennai and has acquired a 10-acre land parcel in Ambattur locality.
