Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has commenced testing its ‘Made in India’ 5G network in key locations across Delhi, including Nehru Place, Chanakyapuri, and Minto Road.

The operator plans to install over 100,000 4G towers by March 2025, with 80,000 of these expected to be operational by October 2024, while the remaining installations will be completed by the end of the financial year 2024-25.

In addition to the 5G rollout, BSNL recently launched its advanced new generation Over-the-Air (OTA) and Universal SIM (USIM) platform, developed in partnership with Pyro Holdings Private Limited. This platform is designed to be compatible with both 4G and 5G networks, providing enhanced connectivity and service quality for BSNL customers nationwide.
