Rajasthan blocks 236,000 suspicious SIMs, and 229,000 phones to curb cybercrime

Rajasthan police has blocked 236,000 suspicious SIMs and 229,000 mobile handsets with suspicious international mobile equipment identity (IMEI) in Mewat region under operation Antivirus.

The operation is being run in coordination with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and government to curb cybercrime.

The police have identified cyber criminals based on their records in the Operation Antivirus database and taken effective action against them.
