Bharti Airtel and Vodafone India have become exclusive vendors for launching US-based Apple?s iPhone 6s and 6s Plus smartphones in the Indian market on October 16, 2015.
As per the reports, the smartphone can be purchased at a small upfront cost while the remaining amount can be paid in 12 or 24 equally monthly installments. While Vodafone has already forged a partnership with Apple, Bharti Airtel is soon likely to follow suit. Airtel may also offer 4G services as part of the bundled package.
Apple had sold a total of 1.7 million units of iPhone 6 in the year ended September 2015 in India, according to Counterpoint Technology Market Research. In comparison, it had sold 1.1 million devices in the year ended September 2014.
