The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the General Authority for Regulating the Telecommunications Sector (TRA) of the UAE. The MoU aims at strengthening the collaboration between the two countries in telecom and information and communication technology (ICT) oversight.
As per the MoU, the key areas of cooperation between the two countries include technological developments and new technologies, universal services, mobile number portability (MNP), spectrum issues, green telecom, e-government and e-services, participation in international events and forums and other issues.
