The Delhi High Court has allowed Xiaomi Technology to return over 100,000 units of the Redmi Note 3G handsets to their point of origin in Hong Kong. The court has directed Xiaomi to maintain an inventory of the handsets, currently lying unused with e-commerce site Flipkart through which the Chinese company sells its phones under an exclusive arrangement.
The court had earlier restrained Xiaomi and Flipkart from selling handsets that run on Mediatek processor and allowed the sale of only Qualcomm-based handsets.
