Vodafone India has launched its 3G services in Lachen in North Sikkim. With this, the company now covers approximately 665 census towns, 4,135 market towns and 35,354 villages in the rest of West Bengal circle. Vodafone had earlier launched these services in Lachung. The company has 3G licences in about nine circles.
Meanwhile, Airtel also launched its telecom service in Lachen, connecting the town to Lachung.
