
Hanaro Telecom, Korea’s second largest fixed line operator, recordH ed profits in 2004 for the first time since its inception in 1999.
The company booked revenue of 1.44 trillion won, a 4.4 per cent increase over 2003, and 10.5 billion won in net profit. In its business plan for 2005, Hanaro predicted 1.56 trillion won in turnover, 150 billion won in operating profit and 41.8 billion won in net profit.
