
Reliance Communications (RCOM) has reported a 26.1 per cent increase in its net profits from Rs 1.3 billion for the quarter ended June 2013 to Rs 1.64 billion for the corresponding quarter in 2014. Further, the company?s total income from operations also increased from Rs 53.15 billion to Rs 53.54 billion during the same period.
Revenues from Indian operations increased by 1.2 per cent from Rs 46.59 billion to Rs 47.18 billion, while revenues from global operations declined by 5.12 per cent from Rs 11.31 billion to Rs 10.73 billion during the same period.
The company?s total expenditure marginally declined from Rs 45.94 billion in June 2013 to Rs 45.91 billion in June 2014. Meanwhile the company?s finance costs increased from Rs 6.87 billion to Rs 7.67 during the same period.
RCOM has stated that it generated an operational cash flow of Rs 18.63 billion in the period April 2014-June 2014. Of this, Rs 7.67 billion was used for repaying finance charges and Rs 4.15 billion was used as capital expenditure.
