Sistema Shyam Teleservices (SSTL) along with D-Link, a company providing networking products and solutions, is developing a video surveillance application, which can be used to monitor home security by mobile users.

SSTL plans to launch the IP-based remote surveillance application ? MSecure in nine circles. The service is aimed at increasing the operator?s revenue from data services.

To avail the security solution, subscribers will be required to install an intelligent IP-based camera and an MBlaze Wi-Fi dongle in their homes. The camera will capture live video footage and the customer will be able to access the video footage on a mobile device by installing the ?mydlink application.?

Subscribers will have to pay upfront charges of Rs 6,000 to 9,000 to access the service including the Wi-Fi dongle. Further, consumers will be charged Rs 400 to Rs 500 per month for monitoring one?s home through MSecure solution.
