Bharti Airtel along with Apple has introduced India?s first 4G service on mobile phone in Bengaluru. The subscribers can access the service through Apple iPhone 5s or 5c by changing their existing SIM card to a 4G SIM card.

Bharti Airtel is offering 4G service to both its prepaid and post-paid customers. The company has introduced various data plans for the customers. Existing customers using 3G service can access 4G service at same price points as their existing 3G plan. Further, 2G users can opt for 3G data plans to avail high speed internet offered by 4G.

Moreover for heavy data users, Bharti Airtel has introduced a new tariff plan. Availing the new 4G plan priced at Rs 1,000, users can access 10 GB of data. While data browsing will be on 4G network, voice calls will be routed on 2G/3G network using the circuit switched fall back technology.

Commenting on the launch, Srini Gopalan, director ? consumer business, Bharti Airtel India, says, ?Bharti Airtel has always set the technology trends in India and was the first operator to introduce 4G in the country. The company has now launched the much awaited Airtel 4G services on mobile in partnership with Apple.
