According to Dell?Oro Group, Huawei led the microwave transmission equipment segment on the market share basis in the second quarter of 2013. For the period under review, Ericsson, Alcatel Lucent and NEC were ranked second, third and fourth in the industry.

With 70 per cent market share the top four telecom equipment vendors together comprised more than two thirds of the microwave equipment market. Huawei accounted for majority of the market share of the microwave transmission equipment segment by registering a sequential growth of 41 per cent in its revenue. The telecom equipment maker witnessed the highest growth rate among the top four vendors.
