
Challenges notwithstanding, Uninor is continuing its efforts to consolidate its presence in the Indian telecom space.
After Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh (East), the operator has reportedly achieved break even in the Andhra Pradesh circle, three and a half years after it commenced operations in the circle.
The operator plans to break even in all its areas of operation within this year.
Meanwhile, it is focusing on expanding its retail and mobile networks across the Andhra Pradesh circle.
The company reportedly stated that it will add over 1,500 retail points to its current 55,000-outlet strong retail network. Moreover, it is looking to add 50 express stores to its existing chain of 132 stores across Andhra Pradesh.
Also, it plans to increase its network sites in the states to 140 and has already deployed 40 new sites.
