According to a report released by the Global Mobile Suppliers Association, 1800 MHz is the most widely used band for LTE deployments globally.

At the end of the fourth quarter of 2012, worldwide, 14.27 million subscribers were accessing 4G services provided over LTE 1800. The report underlines that the 1800 MHz band would help operators support international roaming for mobile broadband. Going forward, an increasing number of service providers will launch LTE over 1800 MHz band.

The report also points out that Huawei is the leading vendor assisting operators for deploying LTE network in the 1800 MHz band. Currently, 69 of a total 156 commercial LTE networks deployed worldwide are offering 4G services to users over 1800 MHz band. And, Huawei?s SingleRAN LTE solution is deployed in 41 (59 per cent) of the commercial LTE network using 1800 MHz band in 32 countries.
