National Instruments (NI) has acquired Signalion GmbH.
The Germany-based Signalion GmbH offers test solutions to wireless infrastructure manufacturers and operators. The acquisition of the company will see NI further strengthening its position in the communications test industry. Post the acquisition, the founders of Signalion GmbH – Dr. Tim Hentschel and Dr. Thorsten Drager will continue to serve as co-managing directors at the company.
Dr. Hentschel and Dr. Drager will work closely with NI?s research and development (R&D) team to evolve the capabilities of NI LabVIEW system design software and modular PXI hardware for wireless test applications.
Signalion GmbH will continue to operate as a wholly owned NI subsidiary and to sell and support its products through its direct, distributor and original equipment manufacturers.
