Samsung Electronics is going to launch a smartphone using Microsoft?s latest mobile software.
The launch by Samsung Electronics will come ahead of the planned launch of Nokia?s Windows 8 smartphone. Finland-based handset maker Nokia, plans to unveil its new Lumia smartphones using Windows Phone 8 on September 5, 2012.
Samsung?s smartphone called ATIV S would have 4.8-inch screen, 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera.
Analysts are expecting mobile phone makers to turn to Windows devices following a United States jury?s verdict that many of Samsung?s phones based on Google Android infringed Apple?s patents.
