Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) plans to invest Rs six billion to expand its mobile network in Andhra Pradesh (AP), say news reports.

Since, the landline connections in AP are declining, BSNL is focusing on expanding its mobile network in the state. The operator will be expanding its existing network in the state by adding two million lines to its existing network of nine million lines. ZTE has been selected to supply the telecom equipment required for the planned expansion by September, 2012.

Further, to boost its broadband services, BSNL is planning to introduce special tariffs for broadband in Hyderabad.
