The Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) is restructuring its tariff plans to comply with the tariff guidelines issued by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
According to TRAI, MTNL cannot offer more than 25 tariff plans. Therefore MTNL is now consolidating its tariff plans. It is also withdrawing its promotional offer where customers are charged on a per minute basis.
As per new tariff plan, MTNL has increased calling charges from Re 0.20 per minute to Re 0.30 per minute. These changes have been made to MTNL?s tariff plan called 3G Jadoo pay per minute plan for its pre-paid customers and post-paid plan called Super Value, Super Freedom and Plan C.
