Government unlikely to extend the deadline for companies facing licence cancellation to wind up operations

 DoT has stated that operations by these companies would have to stop on June 2, 2012. The request for extending the deadline was neither a part of Center?s review petition Of SC order nor is it a part of the presidential reference that the Centre is likely to make to the apex court.
